Team/Department Outcomes Standards
Conduct design and technical drawing techniques/processes, machine tool safety instruction, and demonstrate problem solving activities that integrate biotechnical, mechanical, fluid, electrical, electronic, and computer control systems.
Identify and describe the social, cultural, and environmental consequences from various fields of technology, and present findings of this research.
Identify and describe communication concepts within the primary areas of communication and complete activities in graphic and electronic communication systems.
Simulate the organization of a manufacturing corporation by designing, engineering, and conducting a continuous flow production run which includes production documentation, mock-ups, prototypes, and production tooling.
Utilize transportation related concepts such as: modes, environments, sub-systems, energy, and apply the technological method to the design and construction of transportation models in each of the transportation systems.
Identify and define light and heavy construction concepts including structural design/engineering, construction materials and processes used in building and non-building structures.
Apply the technological method to the design and construction of residential, bridge, and structural steel building models.
Conduct activities related to the operation of a technology education program including: facility design, organization/management of a classroom and laboratory, maintenance on tools/ equipment, ordering of supplies/ equipment, public relations, and administering a TSA chapter.
Evaluate historical and current curriculum innovations and teaching strategies/methods used in technology education.
Write a rationale, unit description, content outline, instructional objectives, topic schedule, lesson plans, and evaluation plan for a technology education teaching unit.
